Jason W Lillico, owner and front man for Music for the Masses brings to the event over 20 years experience as a mobile disc jockey. It all began at the age of 14 when he was asked to play the music during a church youth sock—hop. At the time Jason knew nothing about being a DJ and yet the show was a success which led to a quest to learn all he could about the art of being a mobile disc jockey. A year later Jason was hired by the Tradewinds Roller Rink in Houston where he was the house DJ all throughout High School. The roller rink gig was great! It was a great place to gain experience and technique. While working at the rink, Jason along with two other friend’s Eric Powell and Brian Kelnar were Deejaying junior high and high school dances which led to bigger and better gigs. In 1997 Jason was hired by Mars Music Inc. as a pro-audio sales specialist. During his employment at Mars, Jason attended every industry related training seminar he could attend to fuel his knowledge for audio, lighting, visual effects and DJ skills. Jason produced two local concerts for Tone Loc and Real Life as well as numerous in store celebrity appearances. Even during his employment at Mars, Jason was deejaying as many events as he could manage including being the house DJ at the Rock Bottom Brewery on the Richmond strip, where he played a good mix of 70’s to 90’s dance music. Currently Jason Lillico is a fierce competitor in the Houston DJ market and strives to bring all his experiences to his events through all the knowledge he has gained. “I feel it is imperative for a good DJ to not just have good entertainment skills, but thorough knowledge of the equipment he or she is using” Jason states. “They need to be able to properly set the system up and operate it the way the manufacturer intended”. With a strong momentum, 20 years experience, and a talent to get the crowd dancing, Jason is an asset to anyone in the market looking to book a disc jockey. |

For over 15 years Brian Kelnar has been an essential part of the Music for the Masses crew. In a world that is surrounded by I-Pods, personal computers and laptops, the mobile DJ industry has become so watered down with everyone thinking they can be a DJ/MC for an event. It’s true, anyone can be a DJ for an event, but can they entertain those in attendance and make that event a memorable one? In 1992, Brian Kelnar started out as a DJ/Lighting technician with a couple of friends in hopes of playing at local school functions and weddings. What started out as a good time with friends spinning records and programming lights, turned into a passion to provide the best quality sound and large lighting performance on a mobile DJ size scale. Spectrum Mobile Entertainment was born in 1995 with a goal to provide clients with premier sound reinforcement equipment and a method to enhance the party environment with the best in intelligent lighting effects. From that original goal, a vision was born with the desire to not only provide the most popular music on today’s charts, but to do it with Texas Style. “Texas Dance Hall” style music is well known for its energetic rhythms as well as its methodical styling’s so that every song is danceable and enjoyable. From Weddings, to senior proms, to school dances, to the World famous Houston Rodeo Bar-B-Que cookoff, Brian has managed to create a passion for providing an environment similar to those experienced in local Texas dance halls by combining hip hop, dance, oldies, county and mixing them with Texas country favorites and Czech/German polkas. Come and enjoy the new sounds of today while reliving and preserving the feel of yesterday’s heritage with a little Texas Flair. Brian now has launched TEXAS DIRT ROAD PRODUCTIONS. |
